After living most of her adult life in Latin America, Katherine West now makes her home in the mountains near Loveland, Colorado. She is a poet, teacher, and editor. In 2005 she founded Green Fuse Poetic Arts Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting Colorado poets with their community through publishing, readings, and workshops. She also works as poetry editor for CRONE magazine, teaches writing at Front Range Community College and the Colorado Contemporary Music College in Ft. Collins, and performs with the poetry/music/dance troupe Vortex Drive. She has published two poetry collections Scimitar Dreams and The Bone Train, and is presently working on a series of musical poems inspired by haiku and Indian ragas. |
