In her first full-length collection, Katherine West explores the realm of dream as it plays out in the waking realm. These poems are part fairy tale, part myth, part confession, part lament, part ecstasy, part morning walk with the dog. Here, there is no real division between the dimensions. One informs the other; one is savior to the other. On the cover and interwoven throughout the text, is dreampoem-inspired artwork by Tom Katsimpalis, pieces which are essential in transporting the reader to the round and multi-textured and of poetry and dream.

The Bone Train

Katherine West's ascending and descending stanzas resonate with rage and existential alienation.
